Quartz Matrix, one of the 21 Romanian companies selected in the MoonShotX program, accelerates its international expansion plan 

After 30 years of innovation in Romania, the company is targeting the Austrian and UK markets, with the prospect of European expansion, while exploring international opportunities offered by the MoonShotX program.Its proprietary QLEAP platform - an international award-winner for IoT innovation - is at the center of the global strategy. 

Quartz Matrix, a Romanian technology company with a history of more than three decades, has been selected among the 21 companies that will participate in the MoonShotX program, developed by Raiffeisen Bank Romania and InnovX, an accelerator dedicated to mid-corporate companies with the potential to scale internationally. 

The participation marks a key milestone in Quartz Matrix's development strategy, which aims to accelerate the internationalization process and capitalize on the opportunities in the Austrian and UK markets. In the medium term, the company also plans to expand into the US and Asian markets, depending on the performance of the scaling pilots.

QLEAP, Romanian technology awarded worldwide 

Quartz Matrix is the developer of the QLEAP platform, a proprietary IoT solution that collects, connects and interprets real-time data to optimize industrial performance and reduce energy consumption. 

In 2022, QLEAP was honored at the Go Global Awards in Estonia as „IoT Digital Innovation of the Year”, an event considered the „Oscar of the industry” at international level. The platform has already helped companies in the manufacturing sector reduce their energy consumption by up to 11%, demonstrating the applicability and concrete impact of Romanian technology in the digital transformation of industries. 

Target markets: Austria and the UK - two complementary directions of expansion 

The Quartz Matrix analysis identifies distinct opportunities in the two priority markets targeted by the MoonShotX program. Austria is a strategic gateway to the DACH region, a mature industrial market where Industry 4.0 and Energy Efficiency (QLEAP) solutions address concrete and quantifiable needs. At the same time, the UK is a global hub of innovation, suitable for rapid validation and scaling of software solutions developed by the company. 

„In the medium term, depending on the results of the scaling projects and our performance in these two pilot markets, we are considering expanding into the US and Asian markets.
